Unleashing the Storm by Sydney Croft

Have you ever started a book mid-afternoon, then looked up and it be well past your bedtime that night? That is exactly what happened to me while reading Unleashing the Storm by Sydney Croft. It was so easy to get intrigued by the storyline and caught up in the world of ACRO, I literally lost track of time! It is filled with clever characters, lots of hot sex and an interesting plotline that kept me obsessed with finishing it in one setting. Believe me, any loss of sleep or neglect of housework was well worth the time it took to read this book!

The people of ACRO (Agency for Covert Rare Operatives) is in the business to protect and study people with special abilities. By working with and protecting these people, they also use their special abilities to keep the United States safe. The Itor Corporation is trying to find these special people first, and use them to destroy the United States and all of the freedom that comes with it.

Tom Knight (Ender) has a bad reputation. A loner and a born predator, he is not liked by his peers at ACRO but he is always reliable to get the job done…regardless of who he has to kill or hurt to do it. When he gets the orders to bring Kira Donovan into the ACRO compound or else, he thinks it will be just another job. When he meets Kira, he is immediately drawn to her. He suddenly finds himself second-guessing his orders and decides to follow his instincts, just to keep her safe and sound. Plagued with secrets and bad memories that haunt him, he tries to keep her at a distance despite what his heart desires.
